Patriotism: Archbishop Idahosa on Nigeria

I came across this classic message on Nigeria by the Late Archbishop Benson Idahosa and the urgency in his voice compelled me to share.

In the short clip, recorded at an Armed Forces Remembrance Day in Benin, probably in the Eighties, the revered Archbishop Idahosa addressed the subject of Nigeria with uncommon insight and wisdom.

He said; “It’s time for us to… come together as a people… Come let’s build a new, virile Nation.”

His words remain very apt today. For indeed, if there were ever a time for Nigerians to be patriotic, it is now. I urge you to hear the clarion call and join this cause to make Nigeria great.
