If I had a garden
I’ll plant roses just for you
If I had an orchard
Lovely grapes will I only grow
Such luxury, in tropical Lagos
The weather wouldn’t let
Yet I must find a way to express
This great feeling inside of me
Then I pick up my pen
And like a spring, words flow
I wax lyrical, even poetic
In my bid, roses to grow
It’s exciting to know
One so beautiful and regal
Yet so sweet and loving
That I’m just enthused
I’ve done the unthinkable
My roses are in full bloom
The sweet fragrance engulfs me
And I hope they are a delight to you
